1. Who we are

Mobile Repair Services Express (ABN 18 363 169 718) is a phone repair business in Dubbo NSW. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect

  • Your name, mobile number, email address and, where you choose pick-up or posting, your address.
  • Details about your device: make, model, condition, the fault you report, photos taken at intake, and the repair work carried out.
  • A device passcode only if you choose to give it to us so we can test the repair. You can decline.
  • Payment records such as amount, method and date. We do not store card numbers — card payments are processed by our payment provider.
  • Basic technical information (such as your IP address) used to protect our tracking and booking pages from misuse.

3. Why we use it

  • To book, carry out, track and return your repair; to contact you about your job; to issue quotes, invoices and receipts; to handle warranty claims; and to meet our tax and legal record-keeping obligations.
  • We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Data on your device

We do not access your photos, messages or other personal content beyond what is needed to test the repair. Repairs can occasionally result in data loss, so please back up your device before handing it over. You will be asked to acknowledge this when you book.

5. Who we share it with

Only service providers needed to run the business — for example our payment processor, email delivery service, website hosting, and couriers or Australia Post when a device is posted. They may only use it to provide that service. We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. How long we keep it

Job and payment records are kept for at least 5 years for tax and warranty purposes. Device passcodes are only needed during the repair and should be changed by you after collection.

7. Security

Job records are only available to our staff. Online tracking requires both your job number and the mobile number used to book, and repeated failed attempts are temporarily blocked.

8. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
